The House of Friendship celebrated its 40 years anniversary with a grand Garden Party on Saturday 5th June. Over one hundred people attended including Norman Baker MP, Mayor Micheal Turner and the Mayoress Anne Turner, and many of our members. We were also joined by the daughters of the original founders, Mr & Mrs Richards. The catering staff did an excellent job preparing and serving the typical English tea, helped by committee members. Music was provided by the Society Syncopaters - a local jazz band - who helped the afternoon go with a swing. The weather was perfect so we couldn't have asked for more.
